For the ones who have committed sins, if he/she comes back to Allah [SWT] with true repentance and believe, for those Allah [SWT] says in the Glorious Quran..

O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by committing evil deeds and by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is Oft-Forgiving,Most Merciful. ~Surah Az- Zumar 39:53

and also says..

And whoever does a wrong or wrongs himself but then seeks forgiveness of Allah, he will find Allah Oft-Forgiving and Most Merciful. ~Surah Nisa 4:110

So when the true believers asks for repentance, does Allah [SWT] just forgive their sins and the sins just disappear? The baggage of bad deeds which has become heavy!, what happens to that? -- In fact the bad deeds get replaced by good ones. Allah [SWT] says..

Except for those who repent, believe (in Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous work. For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful. ~Surah Furqan 25:70

When we beg Allah [SWT] for forgiveness, when we do not neglect Salah, when we exclude doing useless activities, when we leave bad company, when we stop sinning, what is it that Allah [SWT] rewards us with? -- It is peace and satisfaction in this life and Jannah in the Eternal life. This can only be achieved, when we are conscious of our Rabb before doing anything.

Allah [SWT] says in the Glorious Quran..

And it is He who accepts repentance from his servants and forgives sins, and He knows what you do. ~Surah Shura 42:25

and says..

Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he/she is a believer (of Islamic Monotheism) - We will surely cause him to live a good life, and We will surely give them their reward [in the Hereafter] according to the best of what they used to do. ~Surah An-Nahl 16:97

and also says..

Seek forgiveness of your Lord and repent to Him, [and] He will let you enjoy a good provision for a specified term and give every doer of favor his favor. But if you turn away, then indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a great Day. ~Surah Hud 11:3

When we stop understanding The Quran, when we stop performing the Salah (mandatory prayers)..then we tend to sin easily. We need to go back to Quran, prayers and Sunnah of our beloved Rasoolullah [SWS] in order to come closer to Allah [SWT] and attain His forgiveness, His guidance leading to the straight path.

But Allah would not punish them while you, [O Muhammad], are among them, and Allah would not punish them while they seek forgiveness. ~Surah Al-Anfal 8:33

One day we have to stand in front of Allah to account in for all our deeds, whether they are small or big. Lets not waste our time. The life of this world is a temporary life.

We have Technology with us, lets use it in the right way. We get to acquire right knowledge easily when we search for it. Our fore fathers were not exposed to this information we have today, even though they performed well with what knowledge they had. We are blessed to use the technology. We get the authentic information at the comfort of our home, so why not use our precious time to understand Quran and Hadith better!

In short, what will happen when we rush to Allah for forgiveness?

Good blessings and great rewards for this life and paradise for hereafter, In Sha Allah. Lets repent and change ourselves!. May Allah [SWT] keep us righteous in this life. Ameen.
